Does Medicare Advantage cover Cialis, Viagra, or Levitra?

Updating our series of FAQs on Medicare Advantage: About 15,000 people visit our blog each month and 1,000 of them found us because they go on Google, Yahoo or Bing and search for the answer to this question: Does Medicare Advantage cover Cialis, Viagra, or Levitra? Another 500 or so find us by searching for the answer to the question; When will Viagra go generic (which we answered in this post)?

Unfortunately, the answer is, no. Medicare Part D – the Medicare prescription drug benefit – does not provide coverage for prescription drugs designed to treat erectile dysfunction.

We did recently partner with Envision to create a free, no obligation eBestRX Card – a prescription drug discount card – which gives you discounts of up to 65 percent on the cost of prescription drugs. You can print the card right off of eHealthInsurance.com, and start using it right away.

In some instances the card will provide discounts on erectile dysfunction medications like Viagra, Cialis and Levitra. This page on our web site has a “Drug Pricing Tool” that enables you to put in your zip code, and the name, quantity and frequency of the drug you’re taking. Then you simply click a button and you can view the price of any drug you take if you use the eBestRx card.

In many instances the eBestRx price may be lower than what you’re paying now. In some instances it will not be.
